Committee
Sticky Fingers preschools are run by a voluntary committee of parents, carers and supporters within the community.
The committee is responsible for working with the managers on updating policies, managing staff, fundraising, organising events and making important decisions about the pre-schools.
We currently have 5 trustee's who make up our committee:
Tiffany - Chair person - chair@stickyfingersps.co.uk
Cheryl - Secretary - secretary@stickyfingersps.co.uk
Ruth - Committee Member
Stacey - Committee Member
Aeryn - Committee Member
Sarah H - Nominated person - Area Manager
Louise S - Deputy Area Manager
They are not responsible for the day to day running of the pre-schools, that is the role of the Lead Practitioners.
Our committee meet each half term following the Pre-School Learning Alliance's code of conduct to discuss and support our vision of providing outstanding care and education to each individual child.
We also hold parent voice coffee mornings throughout the year for those who are not committee members. This enables everyone to have the opportunity to get involved, share their thoughts and ideas about the preschools and offer support.
Being a member of the committee gives you the worthwhile experience of being involved, meeting new people, gaining new skills and accessing training opportunities. If you are interested in becoming a member, please look out for our next AGM date.
At Sticky Fingers Pre-school we follow the process of retrieving a DBS and then completion of an Ofsted EY2 form. Until these are completed and confirmation from Ofsted you will not be classed as a committee member and will be unable to attend committee meetings and vote. However, you can attend the parent voice coffee mornings.
